This past Saturday night we went to a super fun birthday party at the Norwood Club.
Norwood is a private club in Chelsea with five floors in a spectacular landmarked townhouse. Each floor is totally unique, our party was on the 3rd floor which has a great bar and lounge space.
DJ Gabe Levy was spinning tunes and even kept this pregnant lady on her feet.
The food was delicious and the servers and bartenders were very nice (I hate an attitude especially at a private party).
So, if a friend invites you to go to Norwood, cancel all plans and say yes, you won’t regret it, even on a cold night when you might want to stay home!

I don’t know when my obsession started but to know me is to know my love of elephants. Elephants symbolize strength and wisdom and the trunk up means good luck. I have several Herend elephant pieces, all with the trunk up – this one sits on my desk!

In our foyer we have a set of opium weights that are elephants, we bought these in Myan Mar and they are such a conversation piece. These bronze animal shaped weights of the Burmese Empires, known as opium weights, have become a highly sought after Asian antique collectible.

In 2008 we traveled to Thailand for our honeymoon and one of our stops was the Four Seasons Elephant Camp at the Golden Triangle. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience, especially for an elephant lover. Being up close to the elephants and riding them was amazing; the elephants really have their own personalities. Each morning at the camp the elephants would come for breakfast! We’d take a break from french toast and fruit to feed them whole bananas. However for the baby elephants you’d have the peel the bananas, they couldn’t digest the bananas peels yet, it was so cute!

When riding them we’d give them little sugar cane treats – they like them and it would motivate them to move a bit faster.
Each day we took them in a pond for their bath although they ended up bathing us!

From near or far, I love elephants!

This winter weather just won’t let up! I am not complaining; I love the snow, it’s beautiful and fun to play in. However it does get me dreaming of lounging on a tropical beach with a fruity rum drink in my hand. With less than 8 weeks to go till the arrival of my first child, there will be no tropical beach and no rum drinks for me this winter. So, I have memories…

Monograms off Madison personalized towels were featured on NY 1! We personalized towels for Maggie Gallant earlier in the week with our single letter with stars monogram. I love this monogram because it’s clean, fun, and can be done in two colors. How about the stars in red and the letter in navy blue…very nautical, great for a beach house!

Today I shopped opening day of the ENK Children’s Club. It was a very small show but I picked up a few lines I had been thinking about for awhile that will be great additions to the shop.
Here’s a sneak peek at two lines I purchased:
MN Bird Swim Suits – I have always admired Elizabeth and Mary from MN Bird and this their line is just the best. We’ve got some girls suits coming in as well as these adorable trunks for baby boys!

Autograph Pillows are great for a birthday party or for camp. Each pillow comes with a marker so the girls at the party or in the bunk can sign it.
